Projects: ISO/Titanic Museum/Debris Field
This interactive touchscreen work allows users to explore the sea bed where the Titanic sunk. Each user controls a mini-sub and is allowed freedom to move between objects. Users can resurface and select another sub at any time. The work uses realtime 3D imaging in Adobe Director.
Each minisub in the scene is selectable at any time and in view. This allows the user to jump between distant parts of the seabed. Users can also go on a freestyle route by touching chains of images. This gives the whole experience a flowing, non-linear feel, even though it is essentially another image database.
