Allotment was a series of installations/events/happenings which took place in a dis-used industrial space in Govan, Glasgow, between autumn 2009 and spring 2010. The project was initiated by Angie Bual and produced by Caroline Newall, and organised by the National Theatre of Scotland. The Allotment series ran as 4 independent events. Each event lasted a single evening, with the exception of Allotment4 which ran for 2 nights.
The space itself is attached to the notorious Govan Shopping Centre at Govan Cross - a huge, empty shopping unit. With nothing to fill the space it became a playground for artists, performers, musicians and designers.
