A large-scale realtime responsive projection installation. A ‘mocap guy’ stands idly. As viewers approach, they are spotlit, and the character starts performing a randomly-selected motion-captured sequence from a large database. He continues to perform random animations as long as the viewer remains watching. When the viewer leaves, the spotlight dims and the character returns to idle.
This work uses a Unity for graphics, with a Kinect to openTSPS tracking system, speaking to a Processing app which controls the DMX through an Arduino serial interface built by Jen Sykes.
